Ashoka's People & Planet initiative is catalyzing a global shift: mobilizing changemakers to build a world where the health of our planet and the well-being of all people are inseparable. From food systems and cities to education and finance, our relationship with nature determines the future of our societies. Yet, the dominant narratives fuel disconnection, apathy, and despair.
People & Planet is Ashoka's flagship effort to reconnect humanity with nature, making pro-nature choices the default in billions of daily decisions.
We advance this vision through four pillars:
Innovation
We support social entrepreneurs transforming our relationship with nature. With 700+ Fellows working on climate and regeneration, we are identifying the next 100 changemakers driving bold environmental solutions.
Intelligence
We gather insights to shift systems, building the Changemaker AI Brain to share proven solutions, and launching the Children & Nature Index to reshape education and measure lifelong environmental connection.
Architecture
Ashoka creates the frameworks (economic, political, and social) that make pro-nature choices systemic. Through the Next Architecture Builder, we scale ideas that redesign incentives in education, cities, finance, and beyond.
Amplification
We shift the climate narrative from fear to agency by sharing changemaker stories. Global media campaigns spotlight 600+ Fellows driving regeneration, inspiring millions to take action for people and planet.
