A New Togetherness, our concept for the summit
Kept apart by a pandemic, we fixed our eyes on the importance of togetherness over 2021. But long before Covid hit, dozens of community-led movements already recognized how togetherness could change our world.
Before the pandemic hit, collective movements had already shifted global perceptions. Young activists had mobilized for the planet. Women and queer people had joined their voices to build a gender equal world. And in some of the richest countries on earth, historically excluded communities had already exposed deep social inequities.
In the new togetherness that we all experienced back in 2021, we wanted to bring the attention to one fact: the ability to shape the future continued to belong not just to a few but to all of us.
